The invention relates to a process and an installation for processing and recovering various polyester wastes. According to the invention, the process for processing and recovering various polyester wastes consists of a stage of compacting and briquetting the collected wastes and a stage of milling the briquettes, and before the stage of milling the briquettes, for a 5...15 min. period, depending on the wanted granulation, there takes place a stage of embrittling and pre-oxidizing the briquettes, by maintaining them for 20...80 min., depending on the the briquette mass, at a temperature of - 20...-195A C, in an embrittled and oxidized medium based on liquid nitrogen, which is in a gravimetric ratio from 1 to 5, in relation to the polymer. In order to carry out the process, the installation for processing and recovering various polyester wastes comprises a briquetting system (4), a centrifugal milling chamber (11) and a discharge connection (14), consisting of a mobile or fixed cell (1), provided with a supplying vat (2) wherein the collected wastes are introduced by means of a flexible feeding system (3), namely by means of a secondary feeder (15), there having a chamber (5) for collecting briquettes (A) obtained by the briquetting system (4), which are taken over by a feeding system (6) mounted on a separating wall (B) of the cell (1), in order to be transported into an isothermal chamber (7), where, by means of an electronic device (8), there is determined the loading mass of the briquettes (A) as well as the regulation of the mass and pressure of the liquid nitrogen which penetrates into the isothermal chamber (7), by means of a feeding connection (10) from a storage tank (12) into the centrifugal milling chamber (11), where the briquettes (A) are crashed and comminuted depending on the wanted granulation, as well as a collector (13) where there is collected the resulting composition, which may be discharged through the discharge connection (14).
